Ondo NNPP begins sale of nomination forms for 2025 LG poll

The Ondo State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has commenced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms ahead of the January 18, 2025, local government elections.

According to the State Publicity Secretary, Oluwafemi Olaleye, the form sales will run from September 30 to October 18, 2024. Aspirants are encouraged to secure their candidacy for various local government positions during this period.

To foster inclusivity, NNPP is offering a 50% discount on nomination forms for women, Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs), and youths aged 30 and below. The party also announced a flat rate for the Expression of Interest form.

Olaleye emphasized that NNPP is committed to empowering diverse candidates to represent all segments of society, with a focus on development, transparency, and accountability.

“The upcoming elections will usher in a new era of governance,” he said. “NNPP is committed to grassroots democracy and broader participation in the electoral process.”

Aspiring candidates are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to engage in grassroots governance.”

He said, “We are excited to open the portal for our candidates. This is a pivotal moment for those who wish to serve their communities and make a meaningful impact in local governance.

“We believe that a truly representative government must include voices from all walks of life.
