Osimhen’s double secures Galatasaray’s win over Samsunspor
Victor Osimhen’s scoring streak continued as he netted twice to help Galatasaray clinch a 3-2 win against Samsunspor on Sunday.
The 25-year-old striker had also delivered a brace in Galatasaray’s 3-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur just days earlier, highlighting his exceptional form.
The match saw Osimhen put the defending champions ahead within the first three minutes with a powerful header.
Samsunspor leveled the score early in the second half through a penalty converted by Cameroonian midfielder Olivier Ntcham.
However, Osimhen quickly restored Galatasaray’s lead with another well-timed header.
Michy Batshuayi extended the advantage five minutes before the final whistle, giving the home side a cushion.
In stoppage time, Youssef Bennasser managed to pull one back for Samsunspor, but it wasn’t enough to stop Galatasaray from securing the win.
With this latest performance, Osimhen now boasts an impressive tally of eight goals and four assists across nine matches for head coach Okan Buruk’s squad, underscoring his pivotal role in the team’s recent successes.
