Paris 2024: Super Falcon’s Oshoala sets eyes on Olympic gold
Asisat Oshoala is optimistic that the Super Falcons will place first in the 2024 Olympic Games.
Following a 16-year break, the nine-time African champions will be competing in the Games again.
Brazil, Spain, and Japan are in a formidable group that includes Randy Waldrum’s team.
Despite the enormity of the task before the team, Oshoala is upbeat they can claim a medal in Paris.
“I have a lot of confidence in this team. We have many young players and we can make things difficult for our opponents.
“We don’t just think about getting out of the group, I think we can actually walk away with a medal.”
The Super Falcons will open their campaign against Brazil at the Matmut Atlanque, Bordeaux, on Thursday.
