Pastor David Abioye has opened a new church after his retirement from Bishop David Oyedepo's Living Faith Church, AKA, Winners Chapel

Pastor David Abioye, the former Vice-President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners Chapel, has officially begun a new church ministry following his retirement from the organization led by Bishop David Oyedepo.

Abioye, alongside Pastor Thomas Aremu, was retired in October 2024 after the church’s leadership reviewed its administrative policy, which fixed the mandatory retirement age for its leaders at 55.

At the time of their retirement, Aremu was 67 years old, while Abioye was 63.

On Monday evening, Pastor Abioye took to his official X account to announce that he would commence Sunday morning services on May 4, 2025.

“Exciting news! By the grace of God, starting next Sunday, our service is moving to the morning, 8:00AM.”

“It’s a new day for you, come ready to be blessed mightily in Jesus’ name,” he posted.

He also urged followers to mark their calendars, set their alarms, and invite others to join the service.

After his exit from Winners Chapel, Pastor Abioye established a non-denominational ministry, which initially held its services on Sunday evenings.

However, during the service held on April 27, 2025, he announced that the ministry would now be shifting to Sunday mornings, specifically at 8:00AM.

“Very important information.”

“From next Sunday by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah.”

“And the time is 8am. God bless you mightily in Jesus’ name,” he declared.
