Petrol Price Hike: Atiku slam Tinubu’s subsidy removal approach, labels him ‘T-pain’
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has openly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration following the recent fuel price hike, referring to the president as “T-pain” in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).
Atiku expressed his discontent over the government’s approach to managing fuel subsidies, blaming it for the country’s ongoing economic crisis. In his post, he stated:
“The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been the reason we are in this current economic crisis in the country. As things stand, there will be no let-up in the escalating inflation rate, which is drowning the material well-being of Nigerians. It is even more worrying that T-pain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country.”
Atiku’s remarks highlight the growing dissatisfaction among Nigerians over rising fuel prices and the resulting inflation, which has significantly impacted the cost of living.
News360 Nigeria reports that yesterday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) again increased its petrol price, raising it by 14.8% to N1,030 per litre up from the previous N897.
