Poor knowledge of the law is killing Nigeria – Nnamdi Kanu blows hot

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has strongly criticized the prosecution and the judiciary following the indefinite adjournment of his trial by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Reacting to the adjournment, Kanu declared:

“The prosecution and the court don’t know the law, that is the fact. Poor knowledge of the law is killing Nigeria.”

Kanu’s remark comes amid his repeated objections to Justice Nyako handling his case, citing her previous recusal and his ongoing petition against her before the National Judicial Council (NJC).

His legal team had earlier demanded that his trial be transferred to the South-East if no judge in Abuja was willing to preside over the case apart from Justice Nyako.
