Popular Abuja cross dresser ‘Abuja Area Mama’ reportedly dies

In a tragic incident in Abuja, the beloved crossdresser known as ‘Abuja Area Mama’ was discovered dead in the Banex, Wuse II area of the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday morning.

The news of his passing has led to an outpouring of grief on social media, with fans and followers paying tribute to his memory.

Josephine Adeh, the Spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed that authorities are aware of the situation and have launched an investigation.

The police are currently gathering additional information and facts to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“I am with the CP and that is what they are currently working on. I will call you back once I get more details,” she told SaharaReporters.

This incident comes barely three days after another popular crossdresser in the country, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky regained his freedom after serving his jail term for mutilating the country’s currency, Naira.

Bobrisky together with his friends were captured on camera jubilating over his release on Monday.

Bobrisky served a six-month prison sentence over abuse of naira notes.
