PSC appoints new commissioners for Abia, Lagos, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the appointment of new commissioners of police for the states of Abia, Lagos, Ebonyi, and Akwa Ibom following recent promotions within the Nigerian police force.
This reshuffling is aimed at enhancing security and law enforcement operations in these key states.
According to a statement released by Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC’s Head of Press and Public Relations, the newly appointed commissioners are:
– Isah Danladi Nda for Abia State
– Olarewaju Ishola Olawale for Lagos State
– Anthonia Adaku Uche Anya for Ebonyi State
– Miller Gajere Dantawaye for Akwa Ibom State
These appointments come as part of the PSC’s restructuring efforts, with the new commissioners replacing their predecessors.
“Their mission is to foster a competitive, competent, and efficient police force within their states,” Argungu said, adding that the PSC would fully support these officials as they undertake their new responsibilities.
He encouraged them to remain dedicated to the service of the nation and assured that swift action will be taken if necessary to ensure their success.
The newly appointed commissioners’ postings have been approved by the Inspector General of Police, ensuring that they assume their roles promptly.
