Remo Stars clinch first-ever NPFL Title with Late winner against Niger Tornadoes

Remo Stars made history on Sunday night by winning their first Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes.
In a match filled with tension and missed opportunities, it was Olamilekan Adedayo who became the hero of the night.
Olamilekan scored the only goal in the 84th minute, sending the home fans into wild celebration.
Right from the start, Remo Stars showed they were determined to take all three points.
Alex Oyowah thought he had given his team the lead early in the game, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
Nduka Junior, Sikiru Alimi, and Bello Babatunde also had good chances to score, but the first half ended goalless.
The second half saw Remo Stars increase the pressure. Oyowah came close again, hitting the crossbar and forcing another save from the Tornadoes’ goalkeeper.
Substitutions later in the game added more energy to their attack. Haruna Hadi had a close chance, but it was Adedayo who finally found the breakthrough, firing a powerful shot into the net to put his side ahead.
The Sky Blue Stars then controlled the final minutes of the game carefully, making sure their slim lead remained intact until the final whistle.
This crucial win took Remo Stars to the top of the NPFL table with 68 points from 35 matches, crowning a remarkable season filled with determination, smart tactics, and a proud new chapter in Nigerian football history.
