Rivers Angels names Blankson as new head coach
Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Rivers Angels have officially appointed Tosan Blankson as their new head coach.
This strategic move comes as the club looks to build on their legacy and strengthen their position in women’s football.
Blankson steps into the role following the departure of Whyte Ogbonda, who recently joined Bayelsa Queens after a successful tenure with the Port Harcourt-based club.
The transition marks a new chapter for Rivers Angels, and fans are eager to see how Blankson will influence the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tosan Blankson as our new head coach,” the club wrote on X.
“The details of his contract will be disclosed to the public during his official unveiling, which will take place at a later date.”
The experienced gaffer was previously in charge of Delta Queens.
Meanwhile, players of the Jewel of Rivers are expected to report back on August 7 to commence preparations for the upcoming season.
