Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has strongly denied the sexual harassment allegations leveled against her husband by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, calling them fabricated and without merit.

In a recent interview, Mrs. Akpabio refuted the claims, emphasizing the cordial relationship that once existed between their families. She described the allegations as “baseless fantasies” and questioned the credibility of the accusations.

Addressing the alleged incident, she stated that on December 8, 2023—the date Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan referenced—she was at her family’s residence. She further stressed that the bond between both families predates Senator Natasha’s marriage, making the accusations even more surprising.

Mrs. Akpabio also defended her husband’s reputation, noting his longstanding commitment to women’s inclusion in governance and his track record of fairness and professionalism. She warned against the spread of false accusations and announced her intention to take legal action over the matter.

Her response follows Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s claims during a live television interview, where she alleged she faced sexual harassment and victimization from the Senate President.
