Six things to know about Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, new NAF spokesperson

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame has been appointed as the new Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
He takes over from Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, who has been reassigned to the Defence Headquarters as Director of Civil-Military Relations.
Here are six things to know about Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame:
1. Educational background: Air Commodore Ejodame holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Transport and Logistics, and a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies from the University of Sheffield, UK.
2. Specialized Training: In addition to his academic credentials, he has attended specialized logistics training at the United Nations International Peace Support Operations Centre in Kenya and completed the Optimisation and Decision-Making in Supply Chain Course in Portugal.
3. Military leadership: Ejodame is a member of the 45th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy.
He has held key leadership positions, including serving as a Directing Staff at both the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji and the National Defence College in Abuja.
He was also the Best Graduating Participant at the Air Force War College in Makurdi.
4. Awards and recognition: He has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Air Staff Awards at the National Defence College, Abuja, highlighting his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s military.
5. Diplomatic experience: Ejodame served as Nigeria’s Defence Adviser at the Nigeria High Commission in Malaysia, where he was concurrently accredited to nine other countries.
This role allowed him to strengthen Nigeria’s defense ties across the region.
6. Professional affiliations: He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
He is also a Fellow of the Air Force War College, National Defence College, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria.
