Starlink raises subscription prices in Nigeria

Starlink has announced an increase in its monthly subscription fees for Nigerian customers, citing rising inflation levels.

In a message sent to users, the satellite internet service revealed that prices would rise to N75,000 for standard residential plans, N167,000 for regional mobile plans, and N717,000 for global mobile roaming.

The new rates will take effect immediately for new customers, while existing subscribers will see the increase starting from October 31, 2024.
Starlink customers are free to cancel their subscriptions if they choose not to continue with the service. The company thanked its users for their support during this period of adjustment.

Message to its customers reads below;

“Due to excessive levels of inflation, the Starlink monthly service price will increase from current rates to the respective rates below:

Standard (Residential): N75,000; Mobile- Regional (Roam Unlimited): 167,000; Mobile – Global (Global Roam): N717,000.

As a current customer, your monthly service price will increase in 1 month, beginning 31 October 2024. For new customers, the price increase is effective immediately.

If you do not wish to continue your service, you can cancel at any time.

Thank you for being a Starlink customer and your continued support!”
