Suspected herdsmen kill newlywed soldier, several others in Benue community attack

Suspected herdsmen carried out a brutal assault on Ikobi-Ochekwu community in Apa Local Government Area of Benue State late Wednesday night, resulting in multiple deaths, including that of a newlywed soldier.
According to reports, the attack spanned several hours, with assailants invading the village under the cover of darkness.
A local resident, Ochofie, told News360 Nigeria that the attackers fired sporadically at villagers and set several homes on fire.
“In the early hours of Thursday, two more bodies were discovered in nearby Ijaha, identified as Sani Ngbede and Aduba Paul Ogboyi,” a source said.
The identities of other victims, including the slain soldiers who was said to have recently tied the knot, are yet to be officially confirmed by authorities
