Tears flow as Benue Community holds Mass Burial for 10 victims of Herdsmen attack

A mass burial has been conducted for 10 victims of a deadly attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Otobi-Akpa, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The solemn ceremony drew grieving families, friends, and community members who gathered to pay their final respects to the deceased.

The victims, whose lives were cut short in the violent assault, were laid to rest amid tears and sorrow as residents decried the continuous attacks on innocent communities.

News360 Nigeria had reported that Two Weeks ago, 10 people were gruesomely murdered by  suspected Fulani herdsmen in Otobi-Akpa, adding to numerous killings going on on the area at the moment.

In another news, A Chief Magistrate Court in Makurdi, Benue State, presided over by Mr. Kalvin Mbanongu, has ordered the remand of seven armed Fulani herders from various locations in Nasarawa State.

The suspects are facing charges of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, rape of a female student from the Federal College of Education, Odugbo, in Otukpo Local Government Area, and violations of the state’s anti-open grazing law.
