Tinubu appoints four new permanent secretaries for FCTA
President Bola Tinubu has appointed four new permanent secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
This decision comes in response to the impending retirement of two current secretaries and the creation of a new Youth Development Secretariat.
The appointments are part of ongoing efforts to ensure smooth governance within the FCTA and to bolster the administration’s capacity to meet its developmental goals.
The new appointees include Okeke Joy Chinwe from the South East, Ajayi Rotimi Babatunde from the South West, and Nathan Nancy Sabanti from the North East. In addition to these appointments, President Tinubu has also formalized the position of the Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration as Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretariat.
The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed secretaries, along with the Youth Mandate Secretary, is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
According to a statement issued by Anthony Ogunleye, the FCTA Director of Press, these appointments are crucial for maintaining the effective administration of the FCT as it adapts to evolving needs and changes in leadership.
With these new appointments, the FCTA is poised to continue its work under fresh leadership, ensuring the smooth operation of its various departments and the successful implementation of its mandates.
