Tinubu named Jami’u Abiola as SSA on Linguistics, Foreign matters
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Jami’u Abiola as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Linguistics and Foreign Matters, with effect from November 14, 2024.
The announcement was made in a statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The appointment aligns with the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) Act 2008, as amended.
Before this role, Jami’u Abiola served as Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President. His new assignment will involve close collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, leveraging his experience to enhance Nigeria’s linguistic and diplomatic engagements.
President Tinubu urged him to bring his expertise to bear in fostering international relations.
