Tinubu should be judged from two years in office – Bode George

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Bode George has asked Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu another year to address the challenges facing the country and keep his promises.

Speaking on Arise Television, George emphasised Tinubu’s need for additional time as a first-term president to implement his plans and build public trust.

Acknowledging Tinubu’s prior absence from the presidency, George compared the adjustment period to that of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who also required time to settle into office.

“Though Tinubu had been part of the APC, transitioning to a leadership role is markedly different,” George remarked. “We must grant him the leniency to learn from the past administration’s shortcomings. Just as Obasanjo navigated his initial year, let’s extend Tinubu the same courtesy.”

George anticipates Tinubu’s cabinet to address previous deficiencies promptly, emphasizing the importance of allowing the president adequate time to effect meaningful change.
