Tinubu submits 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework to Senate

On Tuesday, November 19, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu formally presented the 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF/FSP) to the Senate for review and approval.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the letter conveying President Tinubu’s request during plenary. Following this, the document was forwarded to the Senate Committees on Finance, National Planning, and Economic Affairs for detailed analysis and recommendations. The committees are expected to conduct a comprehensive review and report back to the Senate for further legislative deliberation as soon as possible.

The MTEF/FSP outlines the fiscal policies and expenditure projections for the next three years, setting the foundation for the federal government’s budgetary plans.
