Former Ogun State governor, Olusegun Osoba, has called on Nigerians to forgive President Bola Tinubu’s perceived shortcomings, expressing confidence in his ability to perform during his second term.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) South West Zone Assembly meeting in Lagos, Osoba assured the public that Tinubu would deliver on his promises.

He emphasized that the Yoruba people stand firmly behind Tinubu’s presidency, showing faith in his leadership.

Osoba further highlighted that it was the collective decision of Nigerians that led to Tinubu becoming president, underscoring the national support behind his administration.

According to Osoba: “Now that Tinubu is there, I want to plead with all of you to accept his shortcomings. He will do better. After his first four-year term, he will serve another four years as a Yoruba son.

“The South West Assembly’s message is clear – the Yoruba leadership stands united behind Tinubu’s presidency and remains confident in his ability to deliver on his promises during his tenure.

“Bola didn’t make himself the President of Nigeria; we did.”
