Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, has declared his commitment to winning back Kano State for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

During a media briefing in Kano, Ata emphasized that his primary mission is to strategize and work towards the party’s success in the state.

Speaking on his first visit to Kano since his appointment to the Federal Executive Council, Ata highlighted the importance of unity and strategic planning to achieve this goal.

According to DailyTrust, Ata stated, “My appointment is primarily for political reasons. APC has lost Kano, and now it’s time to bring it back. The main challenge lies in Kano Central, which is my constituency.”

He emphasized his commitment to his political objectives, saying, “Though my post is within the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, I plan to return to Kano weekly to focus on our political strategy. I’ll work hard in this role while dedicating significant effort to re-establishing APC’s control of the state.”

Ata expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment, framing it as an opportunity not only for his own advancement but as a service to the people of Kano and Nigeria.

He assured President Tinubu, saying, “Come 2027, Kano will be back in APC’s fold. This is my promise to the President and the party.”
