Tragedy strikes former Kaduna Governor’s family as Son dies in road accident
Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, son of former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, has tragically passed away following a car accident along the Kaduna-Zaria highway on Saturday evening.
According to family sources, Faisal was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His father, a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was present at the hospital. Faisal’s body has since been transported home for burial preparations.
Faisal, a civil engineer, had an impressive educational background, attending Kaduna International School, Adesoye College in Offa, Kwara State, and later completing his undergraduate, master’s, and PhD studies at the University of Greenwich, London.
This marks the second tragedy to affect prominent Nigerian families this weekend, following the death of Fatima Kyari, daughter of the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Malam Mele Kyari, who passed away on Friday after a brief illness.
The passing of Faisal Makarfi has cast a shadow of grief over the weekend, with heartfelt condolences pouring in for the bereaved families.
