President Donald Trump had a tense exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a high-stakes meeting in the Oval Office on Friday, warning him that he was “gambling with World War III.”

The discussion took a sharp turn after U.S. Vice President JD Vance confronted Zelensky for what he described as a lack of respect towards American leaders. According to a pool report, Vance criticized the Ukrainian president for “litigating in front of the American media” instead of handling discussions diplomatically.

As tensions rose, Trump raised his voice, telling Zelensky, “You’re not really in a good position right now.” He then warned, “You’re gambling with WWIII.”

Vance also questioned Zelensky’s appreciation for U.S. support, asking, “Have you said thank you once?” and pointing out that “you went to Pennsylvania to campaign for the opposition.”

Trump further pressed Zelensky, remarking, “You’re running low on soldiers … then you’re telling us you don’t want a cease-fire.”

The fiery exchange highlights growing tensions between the U.S. and Ukraine, as Trump’s administration reassesses its stance on the ongoing war with Russia.
