Turkish League: Osimhen ready for Galatasaray debut
Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is ready to make his debut for Galatasaray as they host Caykur Rizespor at RAMS PARK in Istanbul on Saturday.
The 25-year-old striker joined the Turkish Super Lig champions on a season-long loan from Napoli two weeks ago.
Osimhen, fresh from international duty with Nigeria, participated in his first training session with the Galatasaray squad on Thursday and is set to bolster their attacking options as the season progresses.
The forward was on target in Nigeria’s 3-0 victory over Benin Republic last Saturday.
Osimhen will be desperate to hit the ground running at his new club to enhance his status as one of the best strikers in the world.
Galatasaray currently occupy second position on the Super Lig table with nine points from three games.
In contrast, Rizespor sit in 12th position with four points from four matches.
