Two children confirmed dead as explosion rocks Kaduna

A tragic explosion in the Abakpa area of Kaduna State has claimed the lives of two children, a 13-year-old boy named Imam and a six-year-old girl, Nasrin.

The explosion, which occurred on Tuesday near the old site of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), also left three other residents with various degrees of injuries.

The cause of the blast remains unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Security operatives have since cordoned off the area and are currently conducting investigations to determine what triggered the explosion.

A resident, who preferred not to be named, told our correspondent, “I was taking my bath when I heard the explosion. I had to rush out in fear.”
