UCL: Borussia Dortmund fires head coach Nuri Sahin

Borussia Dortmund have announced the dismissal of head coach Nuri Sahin following a string of poor performances, culminating in a 2-1 loss to Bologna in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.  

The decision, revealed in a statement on Wednesday, reflects the club’s loss of confidence in the young manager, who was struggling to replicate past successes.

Dortmund, last season’s Champions League finalists, have now suffered four consecutive defeats across all competitions.

Sahin’s tenure, though marked by promise, fell short of expectations as the team faltered in crucial matches.

The club is expected to begin the search for a new manager immediately to stabilize their season and reignite their pursuit of domestic and European success.
