UCL: Wirtz nets twice as Bayer Leverkusen beats Feyenoord 4-0

Florian Wirtz marked his Champions League debut in style, scoring twice to lead Bayer Leverkusen to a commanding victory over Feyenoord.
The German side took an early lead in the 5th minute when Wirtz curled a precise shot into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
Leverkusen’s wing-backs were key to their success, with Jeremie Frimpong delivering a cross to Alex Grimaldo for the second goal.
Frimpong then assisted Wirtz again, who volleyed home his second goal.
Before half-time, Leverkusen sealed the win when Edmond Tapsoba’s header was deflected into the Feyenoord net by goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther.
Despite having fewer shots than Feyenoord, the Bundesliga side delivered a clinical performance.
The loss was Feyenoord’s first under new manager Brian Priske, who replaced Arne Slot after the latter’s move to Liverpool.
