UK businessman Mike Lynch goes missing after Superyacht sinks off Italy’s coast

British businessman Mike Lynch, recently acquitted in the United States of an $11 billion fraud case, is among those missing after a superyacht sank off the southern coast of Italy, according to a source close to the rescue efforts.

The tragedy occurred overnight amid severe winds and heavy rains off the coast of Sicily. Lynch’s wife was among 15 people rescued from the sinking luxury yacht, but six others remain missing.
