US election: Charly Boy vows to divorce wife if Kamala Harris loses to Trump

Maverick singer Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, has made a bold statement regarding the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

He announced that he would divorce his wife of 47 years if U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris does not win the election.

News360 Nigeria reports that President Joe Biden has stepped down as the Democratic Party candidate and endorsed his Vice President, Kamala Harris, as the party’s flagbearer.

Reacting on his X handle, Charly Boy expressed his support for Harris, stating that after having the first Black male President in Barack Obama, America deserves its first Black female President. He referred to Harris as his “crush” and vowed to divorce his wife if she does not win.

In Pidgin, he wrote: “If dis my crush, Kamala Harris no win the USA presidential election, I swear, I go divorce my wife of 47yrs. After the first Black Male President, America deserves the first Black Female President. Sorry rednecks. Dats how we Roll.”

Kamala Harris has not yet been officially nominated as the Democratic Party’s candidate, despite Biden’s endorsement. According to The Hill, she has secured over a quarter of the delegates needed to win the Democratic Presidential nomination so far.
