VeryDarkMan regains freedom after two hours arrest
A social media influencer and blogger Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan who was apprehended by the police earlier today (Sunday) has since been released.
News360 reports that VeryDarkMan was released approximately two hours following his detention.
The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Mr Benneth Igwe, confirmed his release on Sunday evening.
His lawyer, Mr Deji Adeyanju earlier on Sunday disclosed that his client had again been arrested, adding that VeryDarkMan was apprehended for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad.
In a post on his X account on Sunday, Adeyanju said, “Our client, @thatverydarkman has just been arrested by the police on the instruction of CP Igwe for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad.
“Instead of the police to arrest the person alleged to have duped someone, they arrested VDM on allegation of defamation.”
