Victor Osimhen files defamation lawsuit against Turkish Journalist
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has taken legal action against Turkish journalist Tolga Bozduman, filing a defamation lawsuit following accusations of assault.
The allegations surfaced two weeks after Galatasaray’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Dynamo Kyiv, with Bozduman claiming that Osimhen had physically attacked him while he attempted to photograph the striker outside a venue.
Osimhen, who is 26 years old and has been in spectacular form this season, recording 16 goals and five assists in 21 appearances, now faces public scrutiny off the pitch due to the controversy surrounding the alleged incident.
Reports alleged that the Napoli loanee offered money to have footage of the altercation deleted, further fueling the controversy.
However, Osimhen has vehemently denied the allegations, labeling them as “false and malicious” through Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe.
