VP Shettima returns to Abuja after representing Tinubu at UNGA
Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has returned to Abuja following his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where he represented President Bola Tinubu. His spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, announced his return on Sunday.
During his time at the General Assembly, Shettima delivered Nigeria’s National Statement at the General Debate and took part in several bilateral meetings and side events.
Following his return, Shettima is set to join President Tinubu in events marking Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary, according to the statement.
