The assailants, numbering around three, shot their victims in separate incidents around the city.
One of the victims, identified as Mr. Victor Udensi, a banker with Zenith Bank, was attacked near his home in the Ishi Court area of Umuahia. According to reports, the gunmen accosted him around 8 p.m. after he finished work, attempting to force him into his car.
Udensi managed to escape, but the assailants fired at him as he ran, fatally injuring him.
