Mrs. Ekweremadu, who was sentenced to six years in 2023 for her involvement in an organ harvesting case, arrived in Abuja on Tuesday, according to reports.

Her return has sparked celebrations in her hometown, Mpu, Enugu State, where locals are jubilant over her release.

Meanwhile, her husband, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, continues to serve a 10-year sentence in the UK for his role in the same case, which also involved Dr. Obinna Obeta.
