Damagum remains Acting National Chairman until December 2025 – PDP factional deputies insist

A group of elected deputies in the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed that Ambassador Umar Damagum will continue to serve as the party’s Acting National Chairman until December 2025.

This position was reiterated by the Deputy National Youth Leader, Timothy Osadolor, during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.

Osadolor stated that the issue concerning the party’s National Chairman and Secretary is a “settled matter,” citing existing court rulings that support the current arrangement.

He urged party members and leaders with differing opinions to either accept the party’s constitutional framework and judicial decisions or step aside instead of undermining the party.
