JAMB announces 2025 UTME dates, guidelines, and fees (Full Details)
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced key dates and details for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed that the sale of UTME forms will commence on January 31, 2025, and end on March 5, 2025.
For direct entry candidates, the sale of application documents and e-PIN vending will begin on March 10, 2025, and close on April 7, 2025.
The Mock-UTME is scheduled for April 5, 2025, while the main UTME will take place from April 25 to May 5, 2025.
Registration Fees Breakdown:
UTME/Direct Entry Application Fee: ₦3,500
Reading Text: ₦1,000
CBT Centre Registration Service Charge: ₦700
CBT UTME Service Charge: ₦1,500
CBT Mock Service Charge (optional): ₦1,500
Bank Charges: ₦500
Candidates registering for UTME with the mock exam option will pay ₦8,200, while those opting for UTME only will pay ₦7,200.
Mock UTME for Underage Candidates
Prof. Oloyede introduced a special mock UTME designed for candidates below the age of 16. The initiative, which is not for admission purposes, aims to help younger candidates test their academic readiness.
Admission Eligibility
To qualify for admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions, candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
However, exceptional candidates under 15 years who score at least 280 in the UTME and perform outstandingly in their Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and post-UTME may be considered.
