A Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja has removed Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tijani Anaje from his position as the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.

Anaje was appointed by former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, in January 2024, towards the end of his tenure. However, in a ruling delivered on Monday, Justice Salisu Umar of High Court 6 in Lokoja ordered Anaje to stop presenting himself as the paramount ruler of Ebiraland.

Although full details of the judgment are yet to be released, the case, filed under Suit Number HCO/05C/2024, was instituted by Dr. Barnabas Adeku Ojiah and two others against the Kogi State Governor.

Efforts to get a reaction from the deposed Ohinoyi, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tijani Anaje, were unsuccessful as his phone lines remained switched off.
