Nollywood icon Nkem Owoh celebrates 70th birthday

Veteran Nollywood actor and comedian Nkem Owoh, fondly known as Osuofia, is marking a milestone as he celebrates his 70th birthday today.  

Renowned for his comedic brilliance and memorable roles, Owoh has left an indelible mark on Nigerian cinema, shaping the childhood memories of many with his hilarious performances.

Taking to his X account, the legendary actor expressed deep gratitude for reaching this age in good health, sharing,

“Hurray, I’m 70 years today.”

Over the years, Owoh has starred in numerous hit films, including Osuofia in London, which earned him his famous moniker, as well as Stronger than Pain and Ikuku, among others.

His talent has been recognized with multiple prestigious awards, including the Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his stellar performance in Stronger than Pain.

He was also honored with the AMAA Lifetime Achievement Award at the 13th edition of the event.

As he celebrates this significant milestone, fans and colleagues continue to shower him with heartfelt wishes, celebrating a true legend of Nollywood.

In 2012, MTN collaborated with Owoh, securing a multimillion-naira endorsement deal that has been renewed multiple times.
