Actress Yvonne Jegede loses foster child
Nollywood star Yvonne Jegede has shared the devastating news of the death of her foster child, Olamide Ajimuda, who succumbed to cholera.
Jegede, who has been supporting three foster children since 2019 despite facing financial difficulties, opened up about her grief and gratitude on Instagram.
She mentioned that two of the children she cares for have recently graduated from secondary school, including Olamide’s sister.
Recalling her bond with Olamide, Jegede noted that she met him when he was in primary four, and he was set to advance to junior secondary school three after the summer break.
Despite her limited resources, Jegede emphasized her reliance on faith to provide for the children. She paid a heartfelt tribute to Olamide, expressing her sorrow and reflecting on the fulfillment she finds in supporting her foster children.
“Losing Olamide to cholera has broken my heart,” she wrote. “We met when he was in primary four, and he was supposed to start JSS3 after the summer. Although I don’t have all the money in the world, seeing two of my children, including Olamide’s sister, graduate from secondary school makes my world complete.”
