BREAKING: Explosion rocks Zungeru hydroelectric dam, destroys property, injure workers

Several individuals have been injured and dam installations have been impacted by a detonation that took place at the Zungeru Hydroelectric Dam in Niger State.

According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred early on Monday morning and resulted in the injuries of numerous employees.

News360 Nigeria learnt that a foreign engineer, believed to be Chinese, suffered severe burns to his head and hand and was rushed to the Minna General Hospital.

As a result of the severity of his injuries, arrangements are being made to transfer him to the IBB Specialist Hospital in Minna, a source added.

The exact number of other injured workers has not yet been determined.

The cause of the explosion is currently unknown.

Also, as of now, there has been no official comment on the incident.
