No fewer than six people have tragically lost their lives in an auto crash at Second Rainbow in the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The accident, which occurred around 4 pm on Sunday, involved a trailer, a car, and a commercial bus.

An eyewitness, speaking under anonymity, reported that the trailer driver lost control after experiencing brake failure, leading to the devastating crash. The trailer rammed into a car and a commercial bus, causing the fatal incident.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene, but the collision had already resulted in the loss of six lives. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the accident, with authorities urging motorists to maintain vehicle safety standards, especially in crowded urban areas.

“That trailer failed its brake and crashed into those two vehicles. They have carried some bodies already. About six or seven,” she said.

Our correspondent who was at the venue, observed the presence of operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Nigeria Police.

Some people also helped in carrying the injured into vehicles for treatment.

A police source who was actively attending to the situation said she was unable to answer questions at the moment.

She said, “I don’t have a chance now.”
