El-Rufai lauds reinstatement of Emir Sanusi as a defining moment in his life
Former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has described the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano as one of the most significant events in his life.
El-Rufai made this statement on Wednesday during the Arewa Tech Fest in Kano, an event that brought together political and technology leaders to discuss technological advancements in Northern Nigeria.
The event, which saw the attendance of key political figures, including the Governors of Kano, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, Katsina, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, and Zamfara, Dr. Dauda Lawal, was a platform for El-Rufai to express his deep appreciation for the decision to reinstate Sanusi.
He emphasized the personal importance of the event, noting that it holds a special place in his heart.
“The reinstatement of his highness is one of the most important events in my life and I want to congratulate you once again.
“The reinstatement marks a moment of vindication and renewal for Northern Nigeria’s traditional leadership,” he said.
News360 Nigeria reported that Sanusi was dethroned in 2020 by the immediate past governor, Abdullahi Ganduje under controversial circumstances.
