#Endbadgovernance: Rapper Vector berates celebrities backing politicians
Renowned Nigerian rapper, Vector has challenged his fellow Nigerian celebrities to rethink their involvement in partisan politics and their support for politicians who perpetuate bad governance.
This timely call to action comes as many celebrities have been openly endorsing and aligning themselves with politicians in recent years.
Vector’s message highlights the significant influence celebrities wield in shaping public opinion and the dangers of using this influence to legitimize bad governance.
By supporting politicians who fail to serve the people, celebrities inadvertently perpetuate a cycle of corruption and stagnation.
Reacting, Vector berated celebrities who are taking sides against the reality of their own people/fans.
He warned that the hardship would eventually affect them if it wasn’t stopped.
On his X handle, Vector wrote: “To the celebrities taking sides against the reality of their own people/fans, it may be best to repent before you become the only reachable option if the hardship doesn’t stop. Stop supporting bad governance.”
His advice is against the backdrop of the ongoing nationwide protest over the high level of hardship in the country.
