Arsenal secured a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Southampton in their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, bouncing back from an early scare in the second half.

The Gunners relied on a standout performance from Bukayo Saka, whose creativity and finishing turned the game around after a slow start.

After a lackluster first half, Southampton, sitting second from bottom with just one point, stunned the home crowd by taking the lead in the 55th minute.

Cameron Archer scored his first goal for the Saints since his move from Aston Villa, putting pressure on Arsenal to respond.

However, Southampton’s lead was short-lived as Bukayo Saka came to Arsenal’s rescue. Just four minutes after going behind, Saka assisted Kai Havertz, who netted his seventh consecutive home goal, bringing the Gunners back on level terms.

Substitute Gabriel Martinelli made an immediate impact after coming on, scoring Arsenal’s second goal with a superb close-range volley in the 69th minute. Once again, it was Saka who provided the assist, delivering a pinpoint cross that set up the Brazilian.

Saka then crowned his performance by getting on the scoresheet in the 88th minute, pouncing on a loose ball to secure Arsenal’s victory. His crucial role in all three goals ensured Arsenal kept pace with the top of the Premier League table.

This win takes Arsenal to 17 points, leaving them third in the table, level with second-placed Manchester City and just one point behind league leaders Liverpool.

As they head into the international break, Arsenal’s unbeaten run continues, with Saka at the heart of their strong start to the season.
