Fire razes Oyo market, destroy goods

A massive fire engulfed Aleshinloye Market in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on Tuesday night, causing panic among traders and residents.  

Confirming the incident, the General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Services, Akinyemi Akinyinka, stated that firefighters had been deployed to the scene to contain the inferno.

“Our men are currently working at Aleshinloye Market,” Akinyinka assured, adding that further updates would be provided as the situation develops.
