First Lady Remi Tinubu donates N500 million to Borno flood victims

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has donated N500 million to assist victims of the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, Borno State.

During a sympathy visit to Governor Babagana Zulum on Wednesday, Mrs. Tinubu, represented by Nana Kashim Shettima, the wife of the Vice President, presented the donation and offered prayers for those affected.

She praised the state government for its dedication to recovery efforts and pledged continued support from the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) to empower youths and women in the state.

As chairman of the RHI, Mrs. Tinubu was accompanied by the wives of state governors, ministers, and female members of the National Assembly.

In response, Governor Zulum expressed gratitude for the generous gesture and acknowledged the positive impact of the RHI on women and vulnerable groups in Borno.

He also mentioned President Tinubu’s visit earlier in the week to show solidarity with the people of the state.
