Nigeria’s Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookere, has revealed the 21-player squad that will represent the country at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.

The tournament is set to begin on October 16, with Nigeria facing New Zealand in the opening match.

The Flamingos have been placed in Group A alongside hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand.

Following their impressive third-place finish in the 2022 edition of the tournament in India, the team is eager to improve on that performance and aim for victory this time around.

Nigeria will be joined by fellow African teams Kenya and Zambia, making the continent well-represented in the global competition.

Coach Olowookere and his squad are hopeful that their preparations will lead them to success on the world stage.
