Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the employment of 1,010 teachers for secondary schools across the state.

The approval follows the completion of a recruitment process conducted by the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), which screened thousands of applicants last year.

In a statement, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, announced that the list of successful candidates would be published online on Monday. He added that physical copies of the list would be displayed at TESCOM headquarters and zonal offices across the state starting Tuesday.

Adeniyan further stated that only successful candidates should proceed with their documentation immediately.

To address the shortage of teachers in public schools, Governor Aiyedatiwa had previously approved the recruitment of 1,000 secondary school teachers and 1,000 primary school teachers.

“While the final list for secondary school candidates was approved by the governor on Friday, the list for primary school candidates is still being finalized,” Adeniyan added.
