Gov Sanwo-Olu approves N85,00 minimum wage for Lagos workers
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has announced an increase in the minimum wage for civil servants in the state, setting it at N85,000.
He made the announcement during an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday, stating that the decision was reached after discussions with the relevant unions.
The increase comes as part of the government’s effort to improve the welfare of public workers in Lagos and address the rising cost of living.
This new minimum wage places Lagos State among the states offering the highest pay for civil servants in Nigeria.
