Nigeria’s Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) is an organization tasked with combating corruption and related crimes in the country.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo founded the agency on September 29, 2000.

ICPC Ranks

Officers in the ICPC are ranked based on their years of service and educational background.

The Consolidated Para-Military Salary Structure (CONPASS) is employed by them in equal measure.

The ranks are divided into several groups, ranging from Chief Superintendent to Assistant Detective Superintendent.

There are also junior officers who participate in the day-to-day operations of the agency and senior officers who handle the agency’s administration and decision-making.

ICPC salary structure

The ICPC pays its staff members according to their ranks, experience, and years of service.

The monthly salaries of the ICPC officers are listed below, arranged by junior officer level.

  • Assistant Detective Superintendent: ₦53,000
  • Detective Superintendent: ₦54,500
  • Assistant Chief Detective Superintendent: ₦56,000
  • Assistant Chief Investigator: ₦63,000
  • Chief Investigator: ₦70,500
  • Assistant Director: ₦80,500
  • Deputy Director: ₦92,000
  • Director: ₦105,000
  • Assistant Chief Superintendent (Assistant chairman): ₦120,500
  • Chief Superintendent (Chairman): ₦138,500
